Rape

Every two minutes someone in the United States is sexually assaulted (U.S. Department of Justice. National Crime Victimization Survey. 2006-2010). Over 77% of these assaults are committed by non-strangers (Bureau of Justice Statistics, 1997). Whether the assault occurred within the last few hours or within the last decade, it is important that the victim receive the help he or she needs to deal with the trauma.

Counseling in a safe environment with a compassionate counselor is essential to establishing freedom from shame and reinstituting purpose and meaning in life after the horrific event of rape.  At two(forty)counseling, an empathetic therapist will listen, process emotions with the client, and help the client deal with the hurt that has occurred.
